Typically, patients requiring extra assistance with their medications due to the increased amount they consume daily are the ones who benefit the most from this service. Regardless of age, or disability, multi-dose packaging is available for a wide variety of patients.

At Bay Area Pharmacy, we can organize, fill, and ship out medications in multi-dose packaging to help patients keep track of their medications, lower costs, and avoid doubling up on drugs. How does multi-dose packaging work? 

With our special packaging services, your local Bay Area Pharmacist will look at your prescription chart and sort your medications by their corresponding day and time, all in the same package. Your package will also include clear instructions on how and when to take these medications, all for your ease and comfort. We will also be happy to refill your packaged prescriptions monthly and ship them directly to your home as requested. The overall goal of multi-dose packaging is to reduce the number of trips patients must take to their local pharmacy. We know it can be challenging to keep up with many medications, which is why we are so passionate about making the process as seamless as possible.

Can I ask my pharmacist questions?

Absolutely! Your Bay Area Pharmacist is always willing and able to answer your questions. As a reminder, we hope to make taking your medications easier rather than more challenging. Please do not hesitate to ask if you have concerns or questions about the medicines included in your multi-dose packaging.

Do all my medications have to be in a multi-dose package? 

All your medications do not have to be included in your multi-dose package. Our multi-dose packaging service can be accommodated to most of the requests patients have. For example, if there is a medication that you do not take for days and would rather keep in its original bottle, we can ensure that it is not included in your package. However, please remember that medications such as creams, liquids, and inhalers are incompatible with multi-dose packaging.

Can I get other medications filled that are not in pill form? 

Yes, although medications that are not in pill form are not compatible with multi-dose packaging, we can absolutely get all your prescriptions filled at our pharmacy.
